Dianne and I are excited to be offering a Yoga for All Training and Retreat in beautiful Huntsville, Ontario at Morning Blossom Retreat on Lake Vernon. We are combining training and retreat to give you the best of both worlds: time for quiet relaxation and reflection, asana and opportunities to dive deeper into your teaching and your personal yoga practice. You can enjoy yoga and relaxation at our private retreat space as well as hiking, activities on the lake, shopping and art galleries and attractions nearby.

Come enjoy and appreciate our bodies through movement, breath and connection. Let’s tune out the everyday noise of our lives and tune into our souls, nature and new friendships. It is time to recharge our spirits.

Friday October 13

7pm Meet and greet group dinner in Hunstville at a local restaurant 

8-9:30pm Dharma Talk with Dianne intention setting and a therapeutic restorative yoga practice with Carly

Saturday October 14

7-8am Yoga for All - Open to Possibilities practice with Dianne

8:15am Continental breakfast

9:30am-12:30pm Yoga for All - The Art and Science of Accessible Asana (3CEU)
Exploring yoga for different body types, ages, diverse populations and levels of physical ability. A close examination on how yoga and asana work in different bodies and levels of physical ability and to practice safely in your body and teach asana safely to others. This morning, we'll focus on personal empowerment and developing appreciation for our bodies and what they can do on the mat.

2-5pm Yogi Playtime - Welcome to the Play Shop! (3CEU)
Every yoga practitioner has at least one posture that causes frustration or fear, but conquering fears from the safety of your yoga mat can fill you with strength, confidence and a healthy boost of self-love! Bring your trouble poses to this workshop and let Dianne and Carly give you a helping hand. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll discover one-on-one modifications and suggestions specifically tailored to your unique body. Explore yoga for all levels, shapes and sizes, as an expression of life and joy. Working in a non-competitive environment, this practice will be brave and supportive. Learn how to listen to your body and connect with your inner strength while exploring the path to self-acceptance. Bring your questions, your ideas and your asana and let’s flow freely as we share in this inspiring practice.

An accessible, powerful practice that includes asana, meditation, contemplation and journaling focused on changing how we view ourselves and our bodies.

We are two yoga teachers who share the experience of also living in bigger bodies. We know what it's like to be the fat girl in yoga class! We've both had the experience of being singled out, shamed for our size, made to feel less-than. We never want that to happen to you or to your students.

Dianne Bondy

With over 1,000 hours of yoga training in diverse modalities such as yoga therapeutics, restorative yoga, meditation and Anusara Yoga – Dianne truly believes that yoga is for all! She is passionate about creating a more diverse playing field in the yoga community and is a highly recognized voice in the Diversity in Yoga and Yoga of Inclusion movements. Dianne is dedicated to creating brave spaces through yoga philosophy, and asana.  A brave space where everyone is invited and recognized and embraced both on and off the mat.

She is the creator and director of Yoga for All 200/500 Yoga Alliance Teacher Training Program, co-founder of Yoga For All Online Training and founder and Managing Director of Yogasteya – an  online yoga studio that supports yoga for all philosophy.   The goal of Yogasteya is to empower its students through the practice of yoga. Dianne runs retreats and workshops internationally and is an active member of the Yoga & Body Image Coalition and a contributor to Beyond Duality Off the Mat, Into the World.

Carly Stong

Carly Stong is an experienced yoga instructor and the owner of and studio director at Life Yoga in Kingston, Ontario. Always a passionate advocate for self-love, Carly has been teaching yoga since 2006 and began integrating her knowledge and experience into weekly classes that she calls “Yoga for Bigger Bodied Women” in 2011. As she says "These classes contribute to a global shift in the world of yoga that is breaking stereotypes and representing body diversity and acceptance. I work to create a space where women can lovingly and methodically reclaim their bodies and measure worth much deeper than waistlines." Carly has been a Community Partner with the Yoga and Body Image Coalition since 2016. She adds meaning to her days by creating community and connection while leading drop-in classes, facilitating workshops and yoga teacher trainings, as well as hosting yoga and meditation retreats all over the world.
